Forming superlatives

  • shorttall → the tallest / hot → the hottest
  • longinteresting → the most interesting
  • ending -yeasy → the easiest / happy → the happiest
  • irregulargood → the best / bad → the worst

Using superlatives

  • Always use the before the superlative.
  • It was the best meal I have ever had.
  • She is the most talented student in the class.
  • Often used with: ever, in + place, of + group.
