Overview
Subject pronouns are I, you, he, she, it, we, and they. They replace the subject noun in a sentence and always appear before the verb. Example: Maria called → She called. Subject pronouns are the most basic pronoun type and are taught at A1 level.
Subject pronouns

Subject vs. object pronouns
- Subject: She called me. / They are ready.
- Object: She called me. / I saw them.
- Subject pronouns replace the person/thing doing the action.
- Always use subject form as the grammatical subject of a verb.

- ❌ Him is a doctor. → ✅ He is a doctor.
- ❌ Her is funny. → ✅ She is funny.
- ❌ Me am ready. → ✅ I am ready.
