Overview

The future simple is formed with will + base verb. It is used for spontaneous decisions (I'll help you), predictions (It will rain), promises (I'll call you), and offers. 'Will' does not change for person and is followed by the base verb without 'to'. The negative is won't and questions invert will and the subject.

  • Will = spontaneous decision: I'll help you now.
